A home for movement and creation - our journeyThe artistic work and movement brought us, each on his way to Mitzpe Ramon. We met in the "ADAMA" hangar and worked together for many years as dancers and teachers on the team.
As the hangar closed, we realized that this cultural and artistic work must remain and develop in Mitzpe Ramon. It cannot disappear from the desert landscape.
We started our first steps independently. The course "Earth" was replaced by "Fata Morgana" and we continued as a team, while each of us continued his work in the world of dance and creativity.
At the end of the past year, the conditions created a special opportunity for us - after years of collaborative work we decided to take the venture a step further and connect the whole range of our activities in dance, movement and performance arts, to unite as a collective and to establish Zuzima - center of movement, dance and performance
So what do we do here?Every year, more than 20 students come to our center for a year of dance and movement exploration in Mitzpe Ramon.
Our school is open to anyone looking to get to know the moving bodyl in an adapted space and with a high professional demand.
We hold master classes and professional courses from Israel and around the world and invite artists for residencies.
Our home is open to various disciplines and wishes to bring together artists from diverse artistic worlds who are interested in developing a new language, rich with tools and points of view.
Our center is independent and allows for the most creative freedom.
We offer cultural activities to Mitzpe Ramon and the surrounding community - lectures, workshops, "evening school", community lessons and more.
Our center is creating a community that moves and dances in the desert. People who live in the south od Israel, looking for up to date culture that can be found in Tel aviv. and others who come here to enjoy desert space, that allows slowing down, observing and deepening in artistic work outside the city bustle.
